THE CONCEPT:
Water was pumped from the flooded central communal boiler room. These works were carried out using our specialised bulk filtration unit. Two filtration systems were used, each capable of handling 15,000 litre/hour, total amount removed was 764,150 in 7 days (working time was limited from 8.00am-7.00pm). The contaminated water was then disposed of to the foul waste system with authorisation from Thames Water. We also devised a floating air extraction system which removed any potential carbon dioxide replacing it with clean air.
